Phone Call Scams
I recently received a phone call from one of our clients who was very upset about a phone call her son received. The person on the other line stated that they were from the IRS and they told him he owed taxes, and that they would garnish his wages if he did not send in the money asap! Well, I want everyone to know, if you don’t aleady, that is a very popular scam, but for some reason MILLIONS of dollars are being sent to these scam artists. KEEP IN MIND: THE IRS NEVER CALLS, AND ONLY MAKES CONTACT THROUGH THE MAIL.
Another newer scam is someone calls and says that your niece (by name) is in jail, and needs bail money asap, with instructions on where to send. Please be aware of these suspicious phone calls, also. If you are ever in doubt, call your local police!
On a personal note, I was fortunate to have another article published last week in both “Bloomberg” and “Market Watch” on-line magazines!

Thank you all, and “SAFE” investing!
